Why We Grow It

The Chaste Tree is an excellent choice to integrate with trees and bushes. It supports pollinators with its long-lasting summer blooms and provides berries for birds, contributing to biodiversity. Its ability to thrive in poor soils and withstand drought once established makes it a practical and attractive option for low-input systems, combining ornamental beauty with ecological benefits.

How the Plant Grows

The Chaste Tree grows as a bushy, multi-stemmed shrub or small tree with an open, airy form. Its striking spikes of lavender to blue flowers bloom profusely throughout the summer. In colder climates, it may die back to the ground during winter, but it regrows vigorously each spring. Over time, it develops the woody strength to withstand year-round conditions. Its fast growth and drought tolerance make it a low-maintenance yet highly rewarding plant.
